About Me – My Story

Hi, I’m Natalie — a certified sleep consultant with a deep passion for helping families rediscover rest, balance, and joy.

My journey into this role began with the arrival of my beautiful little boy, who completely changed how I viewed sleep. Like so many new parents, I found those first weeks incredibly tough. After a traumatic birth and a long recovery (with plenty of hospital visits), I was already running on empty. Add to that the exhaustion of newborn life — I was blindsided.

Despite a decade of experience as a Registered Nurse, including years of night shifts, nothing prepared me for the relentless sleep deprivation of early motherhood.

I vividly remember the hours spent rocking my baby to sleep, back aching, only for him to wake the moment I put him down. I felt like a zombie most days. My husband worked away a lot, and I often felt isolated and overwhelmed. I didn’t know how to make things better — I just knew something had to change for the sake of my well-being.

At around 12 weeks, after observing my baby’s readiness and diving deep into sleep science and expert guidance, I decided to sleep train him — just for nighttime at first. Within a few days, I saw real progress. And by two weeks, he was sleeping through the night.

That’s when everything changed for me. I began to enjoy motherhood in a whole new way. The hard days — teething, growth spurts, crankiness — were so much more manageable with decent sleep under my belt. I didn’t expect perfection, but I realised I had been missing the foundational knowledge that could’ve made those early weeks so much easier.

That experience lit a fire in me — what started as a personal mission quickly became a professional passion. Becoming a sleep consultant felt like the natural next step.

A Little More About Me

Alongside sleep consulting, I still work as a community nurse — a role that’s allowed me to meet people from all walks of life and taught me so much about empathy and support. It’s a privilege I don’t take for granted.

Outside of work, I love baby-led weaning, cooking, and creating nourishing meals and snacks for my son. I’m always experimenting in the kitchen and introducing him to new flavours. We spend a lot of time outdoors, walking every day — fresh air is non-negotiable in our house! I’m also a big fan of creative projects and love anything that gets my artistic brain ticking. Planning and staying organised is my thing — and those traits really come in handy in this work too.

At my core, I’m a positive, motivated person who genuinely wants to help others — and I believe those qualities make me a strong, compassionate guide for families navigating sleep challenges.

My Sleep Support Services

I offer personalised sleep support for families with babies and toddlers from birth to two years. Every plan I create is tailored to your child, your family, and your parenting style — without judgment.

One thing I hold close is that there’s no one “right” way to do things in parenting. We all find what works for us — and sometimes, even the best way can start to feel unsustainable. That’s where I come in: to support, guide, and empower you to make positive changes that feel good and last.

I also work with babies from 12 weeks old — something not all consultants do. But I know firsthand how intense sleep deprivation can be at that stage, and I’m here to help if you're ready for support. I’ve walked that path myself, and I know it’s possible to find rest again — even early on.
